HOLIDAY MEMBERSHIP OFFER

We have decided to streamline our membership levels. We will eliminate our monthly and 6-month renewal memberships. We now only have 3 membership options and they will be paid on a yearly basis. The level will just depend on who you want to bring with you to our events. 

1. Individual - If you are planning on attending our events as a solo person.
   
2. Dual - If the same two people are planning on attending our events together. This was designed for spouses but it is not required. It can be you and your best friend. One person pays for the membership so if you need to split the membership fee, then get two individual memberships instead. 
3. Flex - If you are planning to attend our events with another person but you want to change who that person is on an event by event basis. Your guest can attend at our VIP prices instead of the Guest prices.

We are also currently planning our 2019 calendar and your feedback is very important to us. We want to make sure we are planning events that our members are interested in attending. I am attaching a document for you to review but basically, it covers...

What is the Secret Travel Society? We plan fun events throughout the year so you can socialize and meet other like-minded people who love to travel and enjoy the finer things in life.

Why Join? As a VIP member, you will get access to our fun event calendar and you get a discounted price for attending each event. You will also have other travel perks like 50% off a travel consultation fee and discounts on trips that we put together.

What Kind of Events? Please review the attached document as it outlines our proposed event calendar for 2019. We plan things like Escape Rooms, Painting Parties, Dinner Mixers, 5th Avenue Shows, Cirque du Soleil, Weekend trip to Victoria, Hot Air Balloon rides, etc.

What is the Cost? Membership costs $150-250 per year depending on the level of membership and we are throwing in a bonus month so you get 13 months instead of 12 months. That works out to be only $11 to $19 per month! If you are a current member, we will push out your membership renewal date for the number of months left on your account. When you select your membership level, we will ask you to commit to at least 2 events on our calendar and place a small deposit to secure that date and event. We are working on adding those events to our calendar so you can place your deposit online soon.

TRAVEL SPECIALS 

We had a fantastic turnout for our Viking Cruise Night in September and it is not too late to take advantage of the specials that we offered that night. We have two cruises with exclusive group rates you can join us on. Now, we are not holding any cabins or space on these sailings so once the cabins are sold, they are gone!

NEW UPDATES

Monica is getting ready to leave for Italy tomorrow so we will try to make this quick. We had to unfortunately cancel some events due to lack of interest which is always disappointing. However the feedback we received was that it was bad timing and not really lack of interest in the activity. We will add another Day In Seattle and Cooking Class to our calendar in 2019! 

We also just enabled RSVPs for the Cornmaze event as we now have finalized pricing. We look forward to seeing you there! 

Since we had to cancel the cooking class, we are still saving that date for our Holiday Party. There was a conflict on the previous Holiday Party date so we decided to move the event. We will have a luncheon instead of a dinner and it will be for our travel agency VIP clients and all Secret Travel Society members. More details will be coming soon!

We had a fantastic turnout for our Viking Cruise Night last week and we have several brochures left over. Please let us know if we can send you any information about an itinerary or mail you a brochure. We have been busy posting some new events to our calendar this fall so we are excited to have you join us at one of them soon. VIKING CRUISE NIGHT

This isn't a Secret Travel Society event but this is hosted by our travel agency and everyone is welcome to attend. It is a free event to learn more about Viking River and Ocean cruises plus we will have some specials to tell you about that evening. WINE WALK - NEW! 

We just added another event for this month because we had to cancel Andrea's Birthday Bash. We promised two events per month and we decided to combine a mixer with the Woodinville Wine Walk. They recently started it up again after having gone away for a few years. We would love to have you join us! We will provide a picnic basket type of snacks for our shared appetizer (salami, cheese, crackers, fruit, etc.) and provide a wine glass. Then we will wander the Warehouse District and visit 12+ wineries with our 14 tasting tickets. It will be Thursday July 26th from 4pm to 8pm. Let us know if you want to spend the night at the Hampton Inn and we can work out a good deal for you.

We are trying for another cooking class but this time with pasta making. Stay tuned for more details. We were also trying to put together a weekend trip to Victoria but that might need to wait for the spring. ESCAPE ROOM

Good news! We now have enough people to move forward with this event and we have room for 3 more people. We will be doing the Espionage room which is different from the first time we did this event. You are welcome to join us again this month without having to repeat it.

We are also looking into an escape room in Everett which has a fun time travel theme so we will likely start a series of events with this location. Their rooms build on each other so it would be fun to go through all of them. Stay tuned for more information!

We added an Italian Cooking Class on Fri June 8th and Sat June 9th as an enhancement to our trip to Italy this October. You have a choice of making pasta (either linguine or gnocchi) or an entire meal (salmon or chicken) so make your decision when you RSVP. It will be held at a private residence in Kirkland and comes with a cappuccino before the class and a glass of wine to enjoy with your meal. We will pick the dish with the most RSVPs for each date. There are only 5 spots open for each class and we need your RSVP by April 30th in order to secure our class dates.

We also added a SAVE THE DATE for Andrea's Casino Night Birthday Bash. All you need to do right now is to add this to your calendar, read about the great cause she will be raising money for and stay tuned for more information which will be coming. It will be on Sat July 21st in the evening in Lynnwood.

Finally, we have added a Murder Mystery Dinner in Seattle that will include transportation if you are a VIP Member. It will be a very fun evening with gifts and one of our group attendees will be a PRIME SUSPECT! We will need your RSVP & deposit by April 30th in order to secure our dinner date.

It is a food, wine and spa lovers vacation with the option to add a 2-night pre-tour stay in Venice and/or a 2-night post tour stay in Rome. The main tour is 8-days so if you choose to do both the pre- and post-tours, you can have a great 12-day vacation in Italy.

This tour will be lead by Andrea King who is the CEO of Anywhere But Here Travel and she is an Italy Specialist who has been to Italy over 15 times. We are accepting deposits for this tour until April 27th, 2018 and we only have space for 13 more people.

There are our Mixer Events (formally known as Happy/Social Hour events) where we allow anyone to attend and no memberships are necessary to attend or RSVP. 

Any guests who have previously attended our events & have been invited by a VIP Member, will be given a complimentary Guest Membership. You still need to log into your account and fill out the application questionnaire but your membership will be approved after that is done. Please keep in mind that the Guest Member pricing will be higher than VIP Members and do not come with any VIP benefits. However, you will be allowed to RSVP and attend our events as it fits into your schedule.

ITALY TOUR DEPOSIT DEADLINE

Today is the deadline for the exclusive Secret Travel Society space for our Italy trip in October. It is a food, wine and spa lovers vacation with the option to add a 2-night pre-tour stay in Venice and/or a 2-night post tour stay in Rome. The main tour is 8-days so if you choose to do both the pre- and post-tours, you can have a great 12-day vacation in Italy. 

This tour will be lead by Andrea King who is the CEO of Anywhere But Here Travel and she is an Italy Specialist who has been to Italy over 15 times. We are accepting deposits for this tour until March 16th, 2018 and we only have space for 14 people. Our VIP Members get the first dibs at a spot on our tour and if there is space available after March 16th, we will accept reservations from non-members. Also, our VIP Members get an exclusive discount as well so make sure to read all the details about the trip on a new page we created. To encourage more people to sign up as a Guest Member, we are restricting access of most our events to VIP and Guest Members. Everyone can access our Mixer Events (formally known as Happy/Social Hour events) but all other events will only be visible to the Guest and VIP Members. 

Any guests who have attended our events previously will be given a complimentary Guest Membership so you can see our full event calendar. Rather than emailing individually for each event that was added to the calendar, we are including them in this newsletter instead. Let us know if you prefer we do it another way. Please see the list of events at the bottom of the newsletter. 

We are still trying to get feedback on the Spa Day in May so if you can comment in our Facebook Group or reply to this email, it is most appreciated! 

TEATRO UPDATES

We are sold out for our Teatro ZinZanni event on March 9th. If you have not paid your final balance on your invoice, please do so ASAP or we will have to sell your ticket. 

Just a reminder that the price is the same for guests and VIP members but guests will not get the added perks like the Photo Package that is currently included for VIP members. We are working on adding more perks so stay tuned for more details.

If any guest wants to upgrade to a VIP member before the event starts, we will include any VIP perks for you.
